This past weekend was my first attempt at a ‘marathon session day’. WOW. WOW…and one more WOW. I couldn’t have asked for a better group of ladies to photograph. You ladies were so FUN and you let me be my crazy bad-mouthed self! LOL. The hair and make up was outstanding – as I knew it would be :) and I have to mention how super the Hotel Arts was to deal with…SO helpful and accommodating.

So, I wish I had taken some ‘before’ photos. Not for any other reason than to show other ladies what is possible and how glamourous you can be…even if you dont necessarily feel it when you’re still in flannels dropping your kids off at school! I hope all my ladies left the hotel a wee bit more confident than when they arrived…cause they were total model material! You have these images to prove it…

this past weekend seemed to be filled with successful women and their headshots! I had the pleasure of meeting and photographing Monika Siebert, a well known interior designer from Calgary who is internationally known and extensively published http://monikainc.ca.  We were able to utilize a few different areas of her beautifully designed home (of course!).  I absolutely loved shooting in here;  its so nice when you dont have to dodge the 70’s brown velvet couch and green shag in a clients house :)   enjoy!

Beauty & Brains…

I think its pretty funny how crazy I am about Photography sometimes.  Those of you who know me, know I can get pretty excited and just cant put the camera down.  This is exactly what happened when Wendy contacted me about doing headshots for her USA real estate mentoring service www.usproperty101.com.  okay…yes you can laugh now, because these photos are certainly not what you’d expect.   Actually we took some amazing business headshots in a few different locations. 

After our ‘formal session’ was done, we were hiking back through this field of flowers – and seeing as how gorgeous and gregarious my friend Wendy is….I made her drop and give me 20! HA  Actually, we were chatting about my upcoming boudoir session day that Im planning, which I insist she take part in (I absoutely LOVE photographing her – she totally knows how to work it!!)   Since the work was done, I suggested we do some beauty shots of her.  She can be the inspiration to all those women out there that need to feel glamorous, even if just for 1/125 of a second :)

Did I mention that this drop dead gorgeous woman is a mom of FOUR young children and runs her own business?  Im not sure how she does it all…and still looks like this :)

Matt & Melissa | E-Session

Last weekend I made my way out to one of my favorite Alberta towns – Cochrane. I absolutely love the foothills and the gorgeous landscapes we are given to work with!   We found ourselves at a somewhat abandoned farm with tons of great little locations.  Matt & Melissa will be getting married this August and I am so excited about shooting out there again! 

 

Melissa & Kevin | E-Session

Wedding season is upon us…so that means a few Engagement sessions will be popping up!  I got to shoot Melissa and Kevin’s E-Session this weekend, and we had great afternoon light.  They have such a great connection and were very easy to photograph.  Kevin totally relaxed into the “model man” and I had a hard time stopping him.  I LOVE IT!!   I cant wait until the wedding!  Valley Ridge Golf Course was a gorgeous place to shoot this weekend, and this summer should be even better with lots of flowers to accompany their big wedding day. 

Melissa has the most STUNNING blue eyes.  I cant wait to see them shining on her wedding day :)
