Melissa & Kevin | E-Session

Wedding season is upon us…so that means a few Engagement sessions will be popping up!  I got to shoot Melissa and Kevin’s E-Session this weekend, and we had great afternoon light.  They have such a great connection and were very easy to photograph.  Kevin totally relaxed into the “model man” and I had a hard time stopping him.  I LOVE IT!!   I cant wait until the wedding!  Valley Ridge Golf Course was a gorgeous place to shoot this weekend, and this summer should be even better with lots of flowers to accompany their big wedding day. 

Melissa has the most STUNNING blue eyes.  I cant wait to see them shining on her wedding day :)

Another great shoot for the weekend.  So sweet, and such a great age – Maddy is 6 months old and mom wanted to capture those adorable chubby baby shots.  We were able to shoot some indoors and some outside at the park.  It did take a bit longer to do a mini ‘indoor studio’ at the house, but I think well worth the results.

Friday Adventures…

So the great thing about my job is the people I meet. the photos aside, Ive met friends. Cindy and I first met when I photographed their family when little Avery was only 1 yrs old. They’ve since added a beautiful little ‘busy’ brother into the mix :) Over the years we’ve had the pleasure of becoming friends; our children love to play together as well. Both mom and dad have made some pretty amazing physical transformations and look absolutely FABulous (!!!) so I was pretty excited to capture their interaction on a beautiful summer day. Two little ones can be stressful, and totally exhausting…but so well worth it. I love the photos and hope they do too.

weekend in the city

Tis the season for family sessions in the park! I am so honoured that Cindy & Kindy (cute huh) hired me to shoot their family while they were visiting from BC this weekend :) We had a great day at one of my favorite spaces – Confederation Park. The blooms weren’t quite out yet, but you can see them trying so hard! 3 yr old Savan was a dream to photograph! Look at this little man – stylin, smilin & chillin, he definitely had his groove on :)

One afternoon this past week I found myself back at this great little Montessori preschool.  I cant believe a whole year has passed!   Ms. Tammy runs a great school, with such great little children. I always enjoying doing this school :) Along with Ms. Tammy is her own lovely girls who acted as my ‘helpers’ …they were so cute.  At the end of the day her eldest presented me with a sweet thank you card – and the inside was a portrait she had done of ME!  OMG…how adorable is this. I had to share. 

 

Newborn | Baby Isabella

I have to start by saying this is my 3rd newborn shoot in 10 days. They can be a trying event at times.  However…today…I had my dream newbie shoot. Isabella slept soundly the whole time, allowed me to move her into all sort of compromising positions, and to top it – she didnt pee on me!! HA   I love this family!  Truly wonderful people, lovely children (thanks for the little kiss Jacob :) and so great to photograph.  They totally ‘get’ my freakish bizarre need to capture specific things and stand back and let me create.   Enjoy some of my new props!  Izzy got to christen quite a few of them today.

I think mom may have had a small heart attack when dad was suspending the stork net with her precious baby girl in it.  Thank you for trusting me with this and allowing us to great such a precious image of her :)
