the Silver lining

I absolutely LOVE this age.  7 months…smiling beautiful creatures :)  What a great shoot we had yesterday with Baby E! 

Now, it didnt happen without a classic Lisa move.  Well…as most of you know…I can be quite a clutz. Im not sure if its because I get so excited and engrossed in my shooting (its like a drug people!!!)…that I missed my step yesterday and dropped my beloved camera!  (ah…thats what the camrea strap is for. DOH).  Nothing serious, but I did break a piece off my PocketWizard.  I seriously am quite a dork.  

Regardless, how adorable are these!!!  I had a hard time limiting the amount of images to post here :) Maybe I should break equipment more often?….

I had the great pleasure of meeting Raveen, Raj and their beautiful 5 week old baby girl today. It took 3 of us, a soother, some Coldplay music, and lots of patience to get this sweet girl sound asleep :)  I know mom and dad are dying to see these!!!   Enjoy some of my favorite images from today!

Family-a-Fair

I am so excited to let everyone know that I am finally venturing into the world of tradeshows!  I will be parking my butt – I mean booth – at the “Family-a-Fair”  in the Calgary Round up Center on March 27th & 28th.  As with every year there will be some terrific finds for us Calgarians, both parents and children.

Maternity Fun

I havent done a Maternity session in what feels like FOREVER! So when Jen and John asked me to capture that beautiful baby belly – I was thrilled. Our little boys are friends so obviously theres a bit of an advantage of already feeling comfortable with each other :)  Jen was so amazing…she trusted me completely and just went along with everything – and of course we had some great laughs along the way! I think this is such a great example of getting gorgeous images when you dont necessarily want to ‘bear it all’.  I cant wait for the newborn session!  Thanks to you all for making my Saturday morning so much FUN.

What a character.  I think this little man is going to be a fabulous big brother :)

scouting…and playing

Tonight after supper my little short side kick and I decided to go do some scouting for my next Spring mini-session location! (I’ll be announcing details very soon) I heard about this little sandstone ‘castle’ near my house. Seeing as it was so nice out tonight, we decided to go check out it out.  I have to snicker when I say this…as Jackson is still wearing a touque and mitts…its not THAT nice…but a heck of alot warmer than it has been :) gotta love these cold barren prairies….

As fun as this could be, I think Ive decided against the location. However, I did get a chance to take some fun photos of Jack -  there happened to be a park right down the hill.  Its been while since I got to just shoot while he played.  Contrary to popular belief, I very rarely drag along the big rig to the parks with us :)  I love his mish mash of primary colors against the snowy tundra, and the play center.
