More newborns!!!

…and this little sleepy puss couldnt have been cuter.  Little Max was awesome…he slept when we needed him to, and then woke up for the family shots :)  What a great way to end the week.  Enjoy some of my favorites from our session:

Remember moms…the best time to photograph your newborn babies are from 0 – 3 weeks.  If you are pregnant and thinking of getting photos of your new bundle of joy, call me now to book your newborn session :)

I want to thank these lovely ladies for coming to see me with their new beautiful baby boy.  Its such a pleasure to have clients from the Starbright Childrens Boutique to trickle into my studio :)

This little boy is so lucky to have moms that love him so much.  Congratulations :)  enjoy your sneak peek!

Twins…

Filed under: Babies — lisamcdonald @ 6:48 AM

Well I have new found respect for those amazing photographers that specialize in newborn twins…  They make it look so easy, when in fact it is nothing of the sort.

I finally had my very first set of twins (!) - thanks to Nick & Chantelle for being so patient and allowing me to take over their home this past Saturday.  After a couple hours of cuddling babies, getting pee’d on, pooped on and spit on; I emerged sweaty, tired and ready for a drink.  LOL.

Enjoy these sweet little precious beings…

Images of Hope

Filed under: Family, kids! — lisamcdonald @ 6:37 AM

Im so excited about these images!!  I am taking part in the Images of Hope Foundation, as one of their volunteer photographers.  We are paired with a family to create b/w images for their big Gala Fundraiser to held in March at the Hotel Arts.  This is the first year for me, so Im pretty excited about it all :)

I seriously have the best job in the world.  I get to meet so many nice families – hang out – have coffee – chat (which you know I love to do) – laugh – play with the kids - laugh some more – snap photos and then after the dust settles…see the creation all unfold.  Meeting the Cuthill family was no exception – such a lovely couple with such well behaved, happy children.  You can tell by the photos they were enjoying themselves.  I absolutely LOVED the retro carriage; it made for some fun shots outside :)

Heading indoors we hit the best nursery ever!  Mom has fantastic taste, from the kids clothes to the curtains and details.  What a great home to shoot in.

Baby Owen

Filed under: Babies, Family — lisamcdonald @ 3:01 PM

You know those people you just love to be around and instantly feel at ease with….yep, thats Michael and Gayle.  I have known them for a couple years now, as I did their Enagement session as well as their fabulous wedding last year.  I was SO happy that they came to me with the product of their love – beautiful 5 week old baby Owen.  OMG.  look at this child.  He is so gorgeous :)

It took us alot of work and patience to get this little boy asleep.  These images were taken at the very end of our session, when obviously Owen was completely tuckered out.  It was well worth the wait :)

lastly a little nostalgia from daddy’s baby days… the booties were Michaels when he was brought home from the hospital.  Im sure Grandma will be so pleased that those made it into the shoot :)

the Davis family

Filed under: Family, kids! — lisamcdonald @ 2:54 AM

Today was another stellar day for shooting outdoors!  (I sure am going to miss this next week – S.N.O.W is in the forecast)  So, I had the privilage of meeting the Davis family and what a great group.  These kids were wonderful and really participated in having some fun with this.  I think we captured some pretty great images of the kids and family…but how about this gorgeous mom!!

Lest we forget about the furry member of this lovely family.  These little short legs didnt ‘quite’ get Sidney above the tall grass :)  I thought this was a pretty cute shot of those little brown eyes.
